Hello, I'm Ali -
Founder and creative director of Ali Schmidt Jewellery.
My love for jewellery began with a love of design and colour. I studied art, and long before gemstones, there were pencils, paints, and sketchbooks. Many of my designs still start that way. I believe good design should feel personal, never rushed.
I've spent 26 years designing and making fine jewellery in Johannesburg, with a chapter spent running a retail store in beautiful Franschhoek. I'm a proud perfectionist, guided by impeccable craftsmanship, uniqueness, and eye-catching design.
From the jewellery to the packaging, every detail matters. Each piece is presented in locally made, handcrafted packaging designed to make opening the box part of the experience.
This collection will grow slowly and intentionally, featuring only the designs I love most. I hope you'll enjoy the journey with me.
